Petros Christodoulidis Begins Preparation for the Season in Austria

Cypriot judoka Petros Christodoulidis has begun his preparation for the upcoming season at an Olympic Training Camp in the Austrian Alps. The camp, held in Mittersill at an altitude of 790 meters, brought together over 1,000 athletes from around the world, offering a high level of training and competition. Christodoulidis, ranked 62nd globally in the -66kg category, took advantage of the opportunity to train with athletes from different countries and improve his performance. He was joined at the camp by other Cypriot athletes, under the guidance of national coach Laurentis Alexandridis. The judoka's first competition of 2024 is scheduled for February 7th at the Grand Slam in Paris, in the -66kg category, followed by a Grand Prix in Tunisia. The athlete stated that he is in very good condition and ready for the competition. Petros Christodoulidis' preparation is supported by OPAP Cyprus, Charalambidis/Christis, the #TowardsLA programs of Pavlos Kontides, and Olympic Scholarships for Athletes L.A. 2028, as well as the Judo Federation, KOA and KOE.
