Police Union Announces Protest Measures Over Working Hours

The 'Isotita' Police Union has announced a series of dynamic measures in response to decisions regarding police working hours. These measures include a protest demonstration outside the Parliament and a call for members to withdraw from the Police Welfare Funds. The union accuses the Ministry of Justice of creating a fait accompli by controlling the decisions of the Joint Committee for the Police (MEPA), as it was not invited to the meeting. Furthermore, the union has contacted the European Police Federation (EUROCOP) to inform Europe about the reduction of daily allowances and has initiated legal proceedings on the same issue. Finally, it calls on its members to withdraw from welfare funds as a sign of protest and demands the immediate payment of outstanding overtime hours.
