Political Storm Over Leaked Video Alleging Cash Funding and 'Investors'

A leaked video showing discussions about cash funding to the government has caused a political storm in Cyprus. The video features former Minister Giorgos Lakkotrypis, Director of the President's Office Charalambos Charalambou, Cyfield director Giorgos Chrysos, and alleged investors. Mr. Lakkotrypis has filed a police complaint regarding the leak, claiming that his statements have been edited to distort the context of the discussions and harm Cyprus and the President. The Police are requesting further information from Mr. Lakkotrypis. The Presidential Palace describes the incident as a 'hybrid activity' against the Republic of Cyprus and has informed the Attorney General and the Chief of Police. Opposition parties are demanding answers about the video's content.
