Problems Caused by Bad Weather in Paphos – Tree Falls, Floods, and Fire Department Interventions

The Fire Department in Paphos responded to four incidents caused by the bad weather. Specifically, they removed a fallen tree blocking a road in Polemi, collaborated with the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) to remove a pole that fell on a vehicle in Geroskipou, removed sheets of metal carried by the wind in Kissonerga, and cleared drains to restore water flow on a flooded road in Paphos. The service remains on high alert and urges the public to be cautious. Simultaneously, the Police announced landslides and water accumulation on the Limassol – Paphos highway, between Paramali and Sotira, urging drivers to be particularly careful and maintain safe distances.
