Road Closures and Parking Restrictions in Nicosia for EU Presidency Inauguration

Due to the inauguration ceremony of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Police have announced a series of traffic arrangements and prohibitions in Nicosia. Specifically, parking will be prohibited on several streets around the Cyprus Theatre Organisation (CTO), including Demostheni Severi, Grigoriou Auxentiou, Michail Karaoli, Lord Byron, Kosti Palama, Homer, Anastasiou Leventi, Evagoras, Diagoras and Vassileos Pavlou streets. Additionally, the Municipality of Nicosia will not allow parking in the underground parking areas of the old GSP stadium. From 2:30 PM, road closures will begin in the CTO area, with full access control. The Police urge drivers to comply with the regulations and the instructions of the police officers. Finally, by order of the Minister of Transport, the use of drones is prohibited in the area of the CTO and the Conference Centre for the entire duration of the Presidency.
