RTK's Proposal for 'Early Elections' in the Occupied Territories Rejected

The proposal by the Republican Turkish Party (RTK) for 'early elections' in the occupied territories on April 26th was rejected by the 'parliament' of the occupied territories. The proposal was voted down with 26 votes, while 19 opposition 'MPs' voted in favor. 'Prime Minister' Ünal Üstel argued that he does not fear elections, but prioritized the need to complete projects and the upcoming signing of a new economic protocol with Turkey. Simultaneously, the 'government's' proposal for a referendum in May regarding a constitutional amendment was also discussed, which was met with opposition from RTK leader Sila Usar Incirli, who warned of potential undesirable consequences due to the current negative political climate.
