“Sentimental Value” Returns to Pantheon Cinema

The film “Sentimental Value” has received a record nine Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, Best International Feature Film, and Best Actress. This is a record for a Norwegian film. The film tells the story of two sisters mourning the loss of their mother and facing the return of their father, who offers them a role in a script he has written. The film explores themes of family, memories, and the reconciling power of art. It is directed by Joachim Trier and stars Renate Reinsve, Stellan Skarsgård, and Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas. The film is 133 minutes long and is in Norwegian and English with Greek subtitles. Director Joachim Trier has been previously awarded, and his previous film, “The Worst Person in the World,” received Oscar and BAFTA nominations. “Sentimental Value” will be screened at Pantheon Cinema on March 21st at 5pm and on March 24th and 25th at 8.30pm.
