Severe Weather Warning: Storms, Snow, and Gale-Force Winds Expected Until Monday

A severe weather warning has been issued for Cyprus until Monday. Low pressure, a cold air mass, and a strengthened wind field will cause rain, storms, snow in the mountains, and gale-force winds. Today, local showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, with the possibility of hail. Winds will be strong to very strong, with gusty winds, and the sea will be rough to very rough. The temperature will drop to 15 degrees Celsius inland and on the coasts, and to 3 degrees Celsius in the mountains. Tonight, the weather will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers, mainly in the west and north. The winds will weaken, but the temperature will continue to fall, reaching 6 degrees Celsius inland and -2 degrees Celsius in the mountains, where frost is expected. On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the weather will be intermittently cloudy with rain and thunderstorms. The temperature will rise on Saturday, remain stable on Sunday, and fall on Monday, reaching close to the normal levels for the season.
