Targeted Police Operations Lead to 10 Arrests in Cyprus

The Cyprus Police proceeded with the arrest of ten individuals during targeted police operations carried out with the aim of preventing criminal activities and protecting citizens. The arrests concerned various offenses, including illegal residence, domestic violence, failure to appear in court, possession of burglary tools, and driving under the influence of alcohol. During the checks, 397 vehicles were stopped and 97 people were inspected, while 30 inspections were carried out at premises. 147 fines were imposed for traffic violations, eight of which concerned driving under the influence of alcohol, and 19 vehicles were impounded. These operations are part of a broader preventive plan of the Police.
