Teleworking: Up to 20 Days Allowed in the Public Sector - Cabinet Decision

The Cypriot Cabinet has decided to allow teleworking for public employees for up to 20 days per year. The implementation of the measure will begin in April and will be gradual, aiming for a smooth transition for employees and citizens. The number of teleworking days may increase in the coming years, depending on the performance and impact of the measure. Department heads will decide on the allocation of teleworking days, taking into account the needs of the services. Employees who telework must have a fast and secure internet connection, a service laptop, and work from their home. Teleworking is part of a broader framework of flexible working arrangements, such as flexible hours and reduced working hours, with the aim of reconciling work and family life and improving the efficiency of the public service.
