Ten Arrests in 24 Hours - Two Related to Domestic Violence - Raids and Vehicle Checks

The Cyprus Police continued targeted preventative operations overnight with an increased presence in urban areas, aiming to prevent serious crime and protect citizens. During the night, ten arrests were made for various offenses, including illegal residence, domestic violence, failure to appear in court, possession of burglary tools, and driving under the influence of alcohol. Simultaneously, 397 vehicles were checked, and 97 individuals were inspected, while 30 premises were searched. Traffic checks resulted in 147 reports, eight of which concerned driving under the influence, and 19 vehicles were impounded. These operations are part of a broader, ongoing, and enhanced preventative plan by the Police, with increased presence and targeted checks across all provinces.
