Three Dead and One Injured in Avalanche in Spanish Pyrenees

An avalanche in the Aragonese Pyrenees, northeastern Spain, has resulted in the deaths of three people and the injury of one, a woman who was rescued in a state of hypothermia. Authorities were alerted by a woman who witnessed the avalanche and saw the four individuals skiing in the area. Rescue teams, with aerial support, reached the scene near the Panticosa Spa and located the bodies of the three victims, while the woman was rescued. The President of the region of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, expressed his sorrow over the tragic incident and announced he would travel to the area. Investigations are ongoing.
