Trump Questions Maduro's Successor, Highlights Potential Cooperation with Venezuelan VP

Donald Trump expressed doubts about Maria Corina Machado's ability to lead Venezuela, stating she lacks the support and respect of the Venezuelan people. However, he acknowledged she is a “very good woman.” Trump mentioned that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez expressed willingness to cooperate with the US following the arrest of Nicolas Maduro. Rodriguez, in turn, demanded proof of life for Maduro and his wife, with reports later surfacing that she was in Russia, which Moscow denied. Machado, after Maduro's arrest, called for Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia to immediately assume the presidency, declaring that “the time for freedom has come.”
