UAE on High Alert After New Iranian Attacks
The United Arab Emirates remain on high alert following new Iranian attacks with missiles and drones, which were intercepted by the country's air defense. Explosions heard in Dubai were due to the interceptions and not strikes on the ground. These attacks follow previous attacks in the wider industrial zone of Abu Dhabi, where debris from ballistic missiles caused three fires and injured six workers. Simultaneously, the presence of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Abu Dhabi appears to have accelerated developments, with the signing of a defense agreement between Qatar and Ukraine for the exchange of expertise in countering drones and missiles.
