US Confirms Strikes in Caracas, Venezuela Declares State of Emergency

Venezuela has accused the US of carrying out explosions in Caracas and has declared a state of emergency. President Nicolás Maduro called for the mobilization of all social and political forces in the country, condemning the “imperialist attack.” US officials confirmed that Donald Trump ordered the strikes, which are reportedly targeting military infrastructure. Attacks also occurred in the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira. Venezuela intends to file complaints with the UN and other international organizations, arguing that the goal of the attacks is to seize the country's strategic resources, primarily oil and minerals.
