US Intelligence: Late Iranian Supreme Leader Doubted His Son's Ability to Lead

US intelligence services informed former President Donald Trump that the late Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, doubted his son, Mojtaba Khamenei's, ability to succeed him. Khamenei's fears stemmed from the view that Mojtaba was not smart enough and unsuitable to be a leader, as well as information about problems in his personal life. Trump, in an interview, stated that Mojtaba “wasn’t somebody his father wanted at all.” Trump believes that Iran is “essentially without a leader at this time.”
