US Warns Cuba Against Blocking Hurricane Relief

The United States has warned Cuba not to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid for those affected by Hurricane Melissa, threatening action from President Trump if it does not comply. The aid, worth $3 million, will be distributed through the Catholic Church. Cuba has described the mission as political manipulation but stated it will accept the aid as a donation from the American people. Trump had previously vowed to halt the flow of oil and money to Cuba. Washington assures that the aid will reach the Cuban people directly, bypassing the Havana government, and will benefit approximately 6,000 families. The Cuban Foreign Ministry points out that there has been no official communication from the US regarding the aid shipment.
