Vafeades: Open Airports and Ports - "The Economy Will Not Be Held Hostage"

Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Alexis Vafeades, assured that the ports and airports of Cyprus are operating normally, despite concerns about developments in the region. He denounced misinformation regarding their operation, emphasizing that the economy will not be held hostage by the conflict. Mr. Vafeades visited the ports of Limassol to confirm that work is continuing as usual and stressed that Cyprus' airspace remains open. In addition, he referred to the humanitarian aid being sent to Gaza through the port of Limassol and monitored the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the country is ready to deal with potential impacts on the supply chain.
