Vehicle License Renewals: Deadline Approaching Without Surcharge

The Department of Road Transport reminds citizens that the deadline for renewing vehicle licenses without surcharge expires on March 31, 2026. Early renewal is recommended to avoid inconvenience, especially on the last day of the deadline. After March 31, 2026, a fee of €10, plus 10% of the license fee, will be imposed. Simultaneously, the process of refunding the surcharge to those who renewed their licenses on March 12 and 13, 2026, is underway, according to the procedures of the General Accounting Office of the Republic.
