Venezuela Declares State of Emergency Following Explosions

A series of explosions rocked the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, in the early hours of Saturday, triggering an alarm. The Maduro government accused the United States of launching a military attack against political and military installations in various regions of the country, declaring a state of emergency and activating national defense plans. Reports indicate that the Tiuana Fortress, Venezuela's main military complex, was among the targets, resulting in power outages in the area. Venezuelan media report explosions also in the state of La Guaira, as well as at the Higuerote airport. Videos circulating on social media show military helicopters flying over Caracas. This crisis follows previous statements by Donald Trump regarding potential military intervention in Venezuela due to the drug problem. Trump had authorized the CIA to operate within the country to combat illegal flows. So far, there has been no official confirmation or denial from the US side regarding Venezuela's accusations. The situation remains fluid and the international community is watching with concern.
