Yellow Alert for Strong Winds in Cyprus

The Cyprus Meteorological Service has issued a yellow alert for strong winds expected to affect the island from 8 am to 10 pm. The winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, with an intensity of 6 to 7 Beaufort, locally up to 7 Beaufort, and will have gusty winds that may reach 8 Beaufort. The warning concerns the possibility of problems due to the strong winds, but does not indicate an immediate danger to life or significant property damage.
