YouTuber Claims to Have Decoded the Secret Coca-Cola Recipe

A YouTuber named LabCoatz claims to have decoded the secret Coca-Cola recipe, using advanced chemical analysis such as mass spectrometry and chromatography. His research, which lasted almost a year, focused on the molecular composition of the drink, finding that 99% of Coca-Cola consists of common ingredients like sugar, phosphoric acid, and caffeine. The remaining 1%, the infamous "Merchandise 7X" flavoring syrup, is what, according to LabCoatz, holds the secret to the unique taste. The analysis revealed a complex mixture of essential oils, including alpha-terpinene from citrus fruits, cinnamaldehyde from cinnamon, as well as ingredients from nutmeg and coriander. Particular emphasis was placed on neroli oil, derived from orange blossoms, and considered crucial to the aroma of Coca-Cola. The YouTuber argues that the feeling of dryness in the mouth is due to tannins, likely of oenological origin, and extract of coca leaves (decocainized). LabCoatz sought legal alternatives to the more difficult-to-obtain ingredients, in order to reproduce the taste of Coca-Cola as accurately as possible. The video has already garnered millions of views and sparked considerable interest online. It is important to note that LabCoatz's claims have not been independently verified by Coca-Cola. The company has not yet officially commented on the findings.
