Turkish VP Presents 'Smart Transportation System' in Occupied Cyprus

Turkey's Vice President, Cevdet Yilmaz, presented a 'Smart Transportation System' in the occupied territories of Cyprus, consisting of the installation of 150 speed control systems (130 fixed and 20 mobile). The project, costing $4.7 million, is funded by Turkey and aims for centralized traffic monitoring, utilizing technologies such as sensors, image processing, and data analysis. Mr. Yilmaz emphasized the transition from scattered controls to a more integrated infrastructure. The Turkish company RADARSAN, linked to the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries, played a significant role in the system's development. The system is expected to improve road safety in the occupied areas.
