Russia Claims to Recover Flight Data from Drone Targeting Putin's Residence

Moscow announced that it has recovered flight data from a drone involved in the recent drone attack on Vladimir Putin's presidential residence in the Novgorod region. The Russian Ministry of Defense is characterizing the attack as a “terrorist act” carried out by Ukraine. According to the decoding of the data, the final target of the drones was a facility within the presidential residence. Moscow claims that all 91 drones used in the attack were shot down by Russian air defense forces, without causing any casualties or damage. However, the announcement comes in response to information leaked from the CIA regarding the attack. Russia intends to transmit this data to the American side. Sergei Lavrov stated that Moscow will reconsider its negotiating position on the Ukrainian issue, implying that the attack is affecting the climate of diplomatic talks. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that the attack will not affect the dialogue with the United States, but that Russia will respond to the attack appropriately. The incident has heightened tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with Moscow accusing Kyiv of escalating violence. Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks, targeting critical infrastructure and cities.
