Araghchi: We Are Ready for War but Also for Dialogue

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the situation in the country is “fully under control” following the violent incidents linked to the weekend protests. He also emphasized that Iran is ready for both war and dialogue. Mr. Araghchi accused US President Donald Trump of inciting “terrorists” to target protesters and security forces in order to provoke foreign intervention. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, for his part, strongly condemned the violence exercised by Iranian leaders, calling it a sign of weakness and urging them to protect their people. China also called on all parties to work to restore calm and stated that it opposes any foreign interference in Iranian affairs, including a possible US military intervention. China expressed hope that the Iranian government and people would be able to overcome the difficulties and maintain the country’s stability, calling on all parties to work for peace and stability in the Middle East.
