Increased Traffic on Nicosia - Troodos Road

Increased traffic is currently being observed on the Nicosia - Troodos road, particularly in the section from Akaki towards Troodos. Earlier, the Police announced that the Prodromou - Troodos road and the road from Troodos Square to Olympus were open only to vehicles equipped with anti-slip chains or four-wheel drive. Drivers are urged to be particularly careful, reduce their speed, and maintain safe distances from other vehicles. This situation is due to winter conditions and increased traffic towards mountain resorts.
