Road Closures and Slippery Conditions Due to Frost and Snow

Due to frost and snowfall, the police have announced changes in vehicle traffic on certain roads in Cyprus. The Prodromou-Troodos road is open only to four-wheel drive vehicles or those equipped with anti-slip chains. Additionally, landslides have been reported on several roads, including Kalopanayiotis – Moutoulla – Pedoula, Kakopetria – Karvounas, Pedoula – Kykkos – Kampou, Kykkos – Tsakkistra, Kampou – Orkontas – Kato Pyrgos and Pedoula – Prodromou. Other roads, such as Platron – Troodos, Karvounas – Troodos, Prodromou-Lemithou and Kakopetria-Pinewood-Pedoula, are open but slippery due to light snowfall or frost. Drivers are urged to be extra careful and follow police instructions.
