Foot-and-Mouth Disease: No New Cases, Vaccination Rates Reported
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, significant progress has been made in the foot-and-mouth disease vaccination campaign, with 98% of cattle and 76% of sheep and goats having received the first dose. The vaccination rate for the second dose stands at 37.6% for cattle and 10.6% for sheep and goats. Currently, no new cases of the disease have been reported. Despite the efforts, the disease has resulted in the death of 28,516 sheep and goats and 1,910 cattle.
