Greek Frigates Arrive in Cyprus Following Drone Attack

Greece responded swiftly to the alert declared in Cyprus following an Iranian drone attack on the Akrotiri British bases. Following communication between the two leaders, Athens dispatched the 'Kimon' and 'Psara' frigates, the latter equipped with the 'Kentauros' anti-drone system, as well as two pairs of F-16 fighter jets, to Cyprus. The arrival of the Greek ships occurred in the early hours of Monday, March 2nd, and was captured in photographs from Limassol. Simultaneously, a meeting took place between the Ministers of Defence of Greece and Cyprus, as well as the Chiefs of General Staff, to coordinate and further strengthen cooperation. This move underscores the close military cooperation between the two countries and Greece's determination to support Cyprus during times of crisis.
