International Day of Fallen Police Officers: Message of Honor from the Chief of Police

The Chief of Police, Themistos Arnautis, issued a message of honor for the International Day of Remembrance and Honor for Fallen Police Officers. In his message, he states that the police officers of Cyprus continue to serve with professionalism and a sense of responsibility, facing danger to protect citizens and ensure the rule of law. He expressed his respect for the police officers who fell during the history of Cyprus, including the events of 1963-1964, the war of 1974, and the losses during the performance of duty. He also referred to the two missing members of the Police, expressing hope for the resolution of the issue. The Chief emphasized that the sacrifice of the hero police officers is a legacy of responsibility for all police officers, as well as a source of grief for their families. He stressed that their memory will remain unextinguished and that the Police will continue to serve with dedication to the values they served. Concluding, the Chief of Police addresses deep respect and gratitude to the families of the hero police officers, promising that their memory will be honored and will be a compass of duty for the future of the Cyprus Police.
