Cancellation Rights for Package Holidays Due to Middle East Situation

The Consumer Protection Service has announced that travelers have the right to cancel package holidays without charge if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at their destination significantly affect the trip. This applies to both travelers and tour operators, who are obliged to refund the money paid. Tour operators can propose rescheduling the trip, offering a credit note, but acceptance is at the traveler's discretion and does not affect the right to a refund. If return is impossible, the tour operator must cover accommodation for up to three nights. Additionally, they must provide assistance to travelers facing difficulties, such as information on healthcare services and consular assistance.
