Dramatic Rescue in Texas: Passengers Hanging 300ft After Balloon Crash

A dramatic rescue operation unfolded in Texas after a hot air balloon collided with a cell phone tower, leaving two men dangling at a height of approximately 300 feet. Firefighters involved in the rescue described the situation as extremely challenging, due to the high winds in the area. Firefighters Stephen Winchell and Cliff Patrick reported the rescue was exceptionally demanding, requiring over an hour to climb the tower and reach the balloon's basket. The basket was hanging by a thread, making the situation extremely precarious. After reaching the height of the balloon, firefighters managed to stabilize the basket and then safely lower the two passengers to the ground using harnesses. The entire operation was captured by a drone. Local authorities expressed their appreciation for the professionalism and courage of the firefighters, while the families of the two men expressed their gratitude for the successful rescue.
