€17,282 Donation from UK to CMP

The Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus (CMP) expresses deep appreciation to the government of the United Kingdom for its financial contribution of €17,282 (£15,000). With this donation, the UK's total contribution to the CMP since 2004 amounts to €322,282. This funding will enable the CMP to carry out essential DNA analyses and procure necessary equipment for its activities in 2026. The UK's continued support is considered invaluable to the CMP's efforts to identify and return the remains of missing persons, helping families experiencing long-term uncertainty find closure. To date, 1,065 missing persons from both communities have been identified and their remains returned to their families for burial. The committee's work continues with the aim of providing answers to families experiencing long-term uncertainty.
