Circular Economy Implementation in Hotels

The Federation of Employers & Industrialists (OEB) held a ceremony to award certificates of circular economy to 19 hotels in Cyprus. The program, funded by the EU's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism and implemented in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, aims to promote sustainable development in the tourism sector through the circular economy. This initiative represents a significant step towards the green transition of Cypriot tourism, highlighting the commitment of hotels to reduce their environmental footprint and adopt sustainable practices. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Kostas Koumis, and the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, who expressed their enthusiasm for the initiative.
