Teenager's Confession in 17-Year-Old's Death: "I Punched and Kneed Him in the Head"

The 16-year-old accused of the murder of 17-year-old Angelos in Serres has given a shocking confession, detailing the violent attack. He claims he met the victim to question him about a message sent to his girlfriend, and that the 17-year-old provoked him. According to his testimony, he punched and kneed the victim in the head, aiming to prevent him from approaching his girlfriend, but not to kill him. The accused stated that he punched the 17-year-old two to three times in the head and kneed him twice, one of which hit the victim between the eyebrows. He claims he stopped hitting him as soon as the 17-year-old fell to the ground. His goal, he said, was to teach the 17-year-old a lesson, not to cause him serious injury. The 16-year-old stated that he had been informed of the victim's location via Instagram and went to meet him. He also claimed to have sent a message to the 17-year-old from his girlfriend's phone, which angered him. According to his testimony, after the attack, he went with friends to a church and then met his girlfriend, to whom he did not immediately reveal the extent of the violence he had used. The accused stated that he did not notify the authorities or the ambulance service after the attack because he believed the 17-year-old was fine. He has been remanded in custody and the case is under investigation.
