European Presence in Greenland: Dutch, Germans, French and More

Following statements by US President Donald Trump regarding a potential acquisition of Greenland, several European countries have sent forces to the island, primarily for reconnaissance purposes. A total of 37 soldiers from France (15), Germany (13), Sweden (3), Norway (2), Finland (2), the UK (1), and the Netherlands (1) are currently stationed in Greenland. These deployments are not full military forces, but rather small detachments, and are expected to be reinforced further in the coming days, although not significantly. The initiative for further action remains with Washington.
