Central Bank Coordinates Global Money Week 2026 in Cyprus

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) announced that it is coordinating the Global Money Week 2026 campaign in Cyprus, which will take place from March 16 to 22. The campaign, implemented by the OECD, aims to promote financial literacy among children and young people. The CBC is collaborating with various stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations, to implement the campaign. The goal is to help young people develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they need to make informed financial decisions. The theme of Global Money Week 2026 is “Talk, Ask and Decide Smartly About Your Money,” and it aims to break the taboo surrounding personal finances. The campaign encourages young people to openly discuss their finances, seek advice, and learn how to manage their money effectively. As part of the campaign, various events and activities will be held, such as awareness campaigns, educational screenings, seminars, and competitions, with the aim of informing and raising public awareness about the importance of financial literacy.
