Hermes Airports: Flights Resume, Connectivity with Europe Increases

Hermes Airports announced the resumption of flights that had been temporarily suspended due to the situation in the region, improving the connectivity of Larnaca and Paphos airports. Today, 84 flights are expected in Larnaca and 25 in Paphos, while there are 34 cancellations in Larnaca and 4 in Paphos. The improvement is due to the resumption of easyJet flights from London and to Berlin, as well as the return of British Airways and the Lufthansa Group flights. Hermes Airports expects the full restoration of the scheduled flight program in the coming days, with destinations such as Basel, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Amsterdam. Maria Kouroupi, Director of Aviation Development and Communications at Hermes Airports, emphasized that more and more airlines are resuming their flights, sending a positive message of confidence in Cyprus as a destination. Ms. Kouroupi called for calm regarding estimates for the upcoming tourist season, pointing out that there is time and that maintaining flight schedules is crucial for the course of tourism. At the same time, she stressed the need for efforts to reassure the public and airlines.
