Tragic Hunting Accident Claims Life of 27-Year-Old in Crete

A 27-year-old man, Stelios, tragically lost his life in a hunting accident in Crete, in the Viannos area. He was hunting with his father and brother when he slipped on a steep slope and fell into a ravine approximately 80-100 meters deep. The rescue operation was challenging due to the mountainous and difficult terrain, involving the Fire Department, EMAK, the Police, and volunteers. Stelios was recovered without vital signs and his death was confirmed by EKAB. He was a resident of Ano Viannos and hunting was his beloved hobby. The incident has plunged the local community into mourning.
