Iran Apologizes to Neighbors, Vows Retaliation Only if Attacked

The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeskian, stated that the country has no intention of attacking neighboring countries, but will respond to any attack against it. He also apologized to neighboring countries for any damage caused by recent strikes, attributing the damage to poor communication. The statement comes after a period of increased tension in the region, with Iran having carried out attacks on Israeli and Iraqi territory. Tehran accuses Israel of the attack on its embassy in Damascus, which led to the escalation of the conflict. President Pezeskian called on Iranians to unite to defend the country and put aside internal disagreements. He stressed that Iran will “stand to the end” and will not succumb to pressure. The decision not to attack neighboring countries was approved by Iran's transitional leadership council. Tehran warned countries in the region not to become “tools” of Israel or the US, but to seek solutions through diplomacy.
