Fire in Kalopanagiotis Residence – Elderly Woman Hospitalized

Yesterday afternoon, a fire broke out in an auxiliary kitchen in Kalopanagiotis, causing extensive damage. The fire was proactively extinguished by a neighbor with a fire extinguisher before the arrival of the Fire Service. The owner, an elderly woman, was preventatively transported to Kyperounta Hospital due to discomfort caused by panic. Four fire engines from the areas of Evrychou and Lakatamia responded to the incident. The cause of the fire was a forgotten lit candle.
