The video, which was sent by email, shows the sailors expressing fear and concern for their safety. The authenticity of the video is being investigated. According to reports, approximately 150 Greek-owned ships are stranded in the Persian Gulf due to the crisis in the Middle East, with the Strait of Hormuz closed and it is unknown when they will be able to depart. Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Vassilis Kikilias, stated that 10 Greek ships are within the Persian Gulf with 85 Greek sailors, while another 5 are outside. In total, approximately 325 ships connected to Greece are in the region. All sailors are well and there is continuous communication with them. The situation remains fluid and worrying for Greek sailors in the area, with Greek authorities closely monitoring developments and trying to ensure their safety.
