Cyprus Police Conduct Night Raids, Make Seven Arrests and 110 Traffic Citations

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive night operations across the island, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals and the recording of 110 traffic violations. In Limassol, a 23-year-old was arrested with a small amount of drugs and offensive weapons, while a search of his home revealed a kilogram of cannabis. Four others were arrested in the same province for offenses such as carrying a knife, assaulting a police officer, and outstanding arrest warrants. Two more individuals were arrested in the provinces of Larnaca and Paphos for outstanding fines and failure to appear in court. The checks also included premises, and on the road network, violations such as driving under the influence of drugs were recorded, resulting in the seizure of vehicles and the discovery of a stolen motorcycle. These operations are part of a broader preventative plan by the Police to enhance the safety of citizens.
