President Christodoulides Vows to Proceed with 'Deep Reforms' Regardless of 'Political Cost'

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, states he is determined to proceed with deep reforms, regardless of the political cost. The goal is for economic growth to directly benefit citizens, with an emphasis on increasing pensions, starting with low-income pensioners, by 2026. The government's key priorities include a strong and resilient economy, security (foreign policy, defense, migration), reforms, transparency, accountability, and improving the daily lives of citizens. President Christodoulides welcomes the recent approval of legislation in Parliament, such as the reform of teacher evaluation and tax transformation, as important steps for the stability and continuity of reforms, despite initial challenges. He emphasizes that the government will not back down on reforms, despite opposition, and will continue with the same determination.
