New Earthquake in Greece Hours Apart - Where the Earth 'Struck Again'

An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 Richter occurred this morning in Epirus, near Ioannina. The tremor occurred 10 kilometers south-southeast of Leptokarya, Thesprotia, and its focal depth is estimated at 5 kilometers. The earthquake follows intense aftershock activity in the area, with a previous larger aftershock of 3.7 Richter and another tremor of 3.3 Richter during the night. A total of ten seismic vibrations with shallow focal depth have been recorded in the last few hours.
