Ship carrying LNG wrecked in the Mediterranean - Russia blames Ukraine

Russia accused Ukraine of attacking a Russian ship carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Mediterranean with naval drones. The ship, the ARCTIC METAGAZ, sank in the area between Malta and Libya, following “sudden explosions” of unknown origin, according to Libyan authorities. Russia claims the attack was launched from the Libyan coast and that the drones belong to Ukraine. The 30 crew members are safe. Libyan authorities are warning of the risk of LNG or fuel leaks due to the shipwreck, calling for caution to ships in the area due to the possibility of collision or pollution.
