Diver Dies Near Zenobia Wreck

A diver, a Greek Cypriot man, died in the sea area of the "Zenobia" wreck. The Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Center (KSED) was informed about the diver in danger at 09:40 am on March 7, 2026. A vessel of the Port and Maritime Police and an ambulance were immediately mobilized to rescue him. The diver was transported to the General Hospital of Larnaca, where his death was confirmed. The exact circumstances under which the tragic incident occurred are under investigation. The wreck of the "Zenobia" is a popular destination for divers from all over the world, however, conditions in the area can be dangerous.
