DIKO Leader Calls for Haralambous' Resignation, Expresses Concerns Over Government Participation

The President of DIKO, Nikolaos Papadopoulos, stated that the resignation of Charalambos Haralambous from his position as Director of the President's Office was necessary due to the poor judgment he demonstrated. He expressed his sadness that the President's associates had 'left him exposed' and called for a full investigation into the controversial video. DIKO had set conditions for continuing its cooperation with the government, including Haralambous' immediate resignation, the abolition of the Fund and its transfer to the Scholarship Foundation, and the appointment of criminal investigators to investigate the video. Despite significant concern, the issue of the party's withdrawal from the government has not yet been raised.
