Uzhoho Makes Debut in Africa Cup of Nations

Francis Uzhoho, goalkeeper for Omonia, made his debut in the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria. He was selected in the starting lineup for the 3rd matchday of Group C against Uganda, a match where Nigeria has already secured qualification and first place in the group. This is Uzhoho's 36th appearance with the national team and his seventh in a major tournament, having previously played in three Africa Cup of Nations (2019, 2022, 2024) and one World Cup (2018).
