Caution Advised for Drivers: Wet Roads, Frost, and Snowfall

Due to the prevailing weather conditions, drivers are advised to exercise increased caution as roads are wet in many areas. In mountainous and semi-mountainous regions, as well as areas at higher altitudes, there is a risk of slipperiness due to frost, especially during the morning hours. Traffic on some roads is open only to four-wheel drive vehicles or vehicles equipped with anti-slip chains. Other roads are open to all vehicles, but are slippery due to light snowfall or frost. In addition, works carried out on the road network may affect traffic. Police recommend that drivers comply with the Highway Code and traffic signs in order to avoid road accidents.
